Twilight Sailor Moon: Redesigned!

I tried to make her colors more... her colors. Less pink, more blue, red, and gold. I also gave her a far more epic staff. It is long. It will hurt if she bonks you with it. Otherwise it will heal you... because that is what she does.
I shortened her hair. It is much more manageable this way. And I drew her in my new style and she isn't quite so serious like in the original piece I did.

Luckily I made sure that this piece followed the rules before I submitted my request for judge. I figured I would give you my own Critique below and you can let me know if you’d like it posted on your piece or not. This is to replace my commentary:
5/5 Originality: This piece has obviously been well thought out in the long run. It has been redone from another picture and that speaks of actually taking the time to think it out and do your best. It follows closer to the winks style which is great as well because I love winks club styling. There are no entries like it, and every bit has been changed on the uniform. I would have given it a 5 but none of the colors were changed and frankly it guts me to have to admit a 5 out of 5 on the judging side. However, in my critique I will give it a 5 because I haven’t seen anything like it in sailor moon, and there was nothing about taking inspiration from other shows and making the entire concept your own feel.
5/5 Character: No faults in this category, it is obviously sailor moon, her personality, her big blue eyes. Shortening her hair made me think a little like “about damn time, that girl probably had more split ends then sense.”
2/5 Background: For such a beautiful piece of art, the lacking background is a little bit of a kick in the teeth. However, there was some effort, and would be completely excluded from judgement if the colors were weaker. However, with such bold colors there is no excuse of “I didn’t want the background to take away from the image”, that would be like taking the leaf off Eve and saying that the leaf is taking away from the statement that she’s naked. Granted, its not that I don’t think the star shines from her head and scepter aren’t brill, they are. Just would have loved to see you pull together a background of some sort.
5/5 Pose/Anatomy: This category didn’t rub on any of my nerves, you drew the hands, the feet, the whole anatomy is fantastic and like I said before, well done in the winks style. Fantastic job, I can’t gob on enough love about your anatomical styling. The parts I love always get less words then the ones I don’t, which is a shame because its come up a bit short against the harder judgements, so I’m going to drone on a couple more sentences while listlessly listening to my Christmas music and mentally gobbing love all over how well you do anatomy and hands and feet and thank god the size of her thighs and calves make sense and nothing is too long or too short or hitting me over the head with “why do you think that is?!” and if you really want to get a sense of how I’m talking in my head when I write these, just wander over to google, type in “zero punctuation” and listen to one of his reviews and then you’ll know exactly why I made the standards that I made.
Okay...I think that is enough to overload the part about the background I was harping about.
4/5 Color: Colors, like I said, some nice strong colors here, she looks like the Miss usa of the Senshi pageant. Not that I don’t love the colors and and said it before that there is nothing to fault for the choices, I just need something to put in here. White is a hard one to pull on shading, so I just docked the one point for the lack thereof.
9/10 Overall: Fantastic. I don’t remember the last 9 I gave....nor do I want to. As I said before I guts me to give high marks but there isn't’ really anything here to fault so there you have it. Now seriously, mosey yourself over to zero punctuation so you can fully enjoy how my critiques actually sound. In my head. (As they have to be since my friends have just stopped asking for my opinion in general due to the sarcasm that I think makes me such a cutie. Shame.)
